Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Carlos Rubio is a photographer based in, Nelson BC, Canada, with over 10 years of experience in landscape, cultural, social & lifestyle, commercial, and real estate photography.

What began as a hobby soon became a lifelong pursuit, earning him recognition as one of Honduras’ emerging photographers, particularly for his distinctive night photography style. His work has been featured in various newspapers across Honduras, and he was awarded first place in the Photography Contest of the Association of Municipalities of Honduras.

Beyond his professional work, Carlos has been deeply committed to volunteer photography. From 2017 to 2018, he served as Director of Photography at Fundación Patechucho, contributing to humanitarian and environmental storytelling. In Canada, he has volunteered for the Civic Theatre in Nelson, supporting multiple events, and currently serves as a Board Member of the organization.

Carlos' photography journey in Canada has been marked by new milestones, including being recognized as Photographer of the Month for Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism in June 2024. Recently, he won First Place in the Summer Shootout competition in the Landscapes category.

With a passion for storytelling through visuals, Carlos is dedicated to delivering high-quality, impactful images. His work is characterized by a keen eye for detail, a deep appreciation for natural light, and a relentless pursuit of capturing moments that resonate.
